Sheer Stupidity is a two person, turn-based card game. Every player begins with an initial 20 health and to win the game, you must bring your opponent’s health down to 0.
The game is made up of 40 “deck cards” and 10 “transformation tokens”. There also is a die that moves the game along.
To begin the game…
Shuffle deck cards and give each player 3 of these cards. Put the remaining deck cards face-down in a pile on the side. To decide who goes first, just roll the die.
Each player starts with 20 health and the ability to inflict 1 damage, each turn.
At Each Turn:
First, draw a card. Then play a card.
Each card does different things, like heal you or increase the damage you can deal. Some cards require the die to be rolled for an outcome. If you have more than one card that needs a die roll, just roll once for all the cards.
Cards stay on the field unless removed by another card. As long as the cards are on the field, they stay in effect, at each turn.
Before You End Your Turn:
You attack the other player with your damage to reduce your opponent’s health.
If you end up with more than three cards, put extra cards on the side, leaving only three in your hand. The cards you put on the side are out of the game, so choose them carefully.
Transformations:
Each deck card has an icon on it. Having two deck cards on the field with the same icon gets you the corresponding Transformation. Transformations have more powers than deck cards.
If your opponent already has the Transformation you are trying to get, you can’t get it.
And Don’t Forget:
If you run out of cards in your hand, lose 5 health and draw three cards.
If you run out of cards in the deck, just keep playing without the draw step.
Enjoy the Game!
(Just try not to die)
